Dust off those snow boots, December is here!
Many of us didn't have cause to wear our snow gear last year, having been spoiled by the mild Winter. However, forecasters (and The Farmer's Almanac) are predicting a snowier December than normal for 2016. We've put together a list of activities to do, whether making snowmen is your thing or staying warm, cozy, and happily fed is! Read below for the goings-on in Boston, as well as all our latest real estate news.
Eataly Opening at The Prudential
Mario Batali's Eataly is opening at the Pru on November 29th at 4pm. This tri-level "culinary playground" features four restaurants, ten eateries, two cafes, three bars, a cooking school, and approximately 10,000 products. With only local products for sale, the mozzarella, pizza, pasta, and fish is sure to be the freshest around! We can't wait to wander the shops, with a panini in hand, or sit in the Piazza for some prime people watching. For more information on what else Eataly has to offer, please visit https://www.eataly.com/us_en/eataly-boston.
Frog Pond Ice Skating
Located in the heart of the Boston Common, the Frog Pond is a draw during Summer & Winter alike. A longtime favorite of native Bostonians and visitors the same, Frog Pond ice skating is a unique joy to experience. Having opened on November 22, skating on the Common is a great activity for everyone, from birthday parties, to first dates, to the novice or expert city skater. For hours, events, admission, and more, take a look at https://bostonfrogpond.com/winter-programs/pricing-season-passes/.
Boston Common Tree Lighting Ceremony
This event holds a special place in many Bostonians' hearts. Every year Nova Scotia sends a tree to the people of Boston for the relief efforts the city made on December 6, 1917, when a munitions ship in Halifax Harbor exploded. This year, the tree lighting will take place on December 1st from 6-8pm. Events include an intensive light show, free ice skating show, and speeches from our local politicians. At the end of it all, the 47-foot white spruce will be lit up for all to enjoy. https://www.bostoncentral.com/events/boston-official-tree-lighting/p888.php
